UGA Extension: Georgia 4-H

Burton 4-H Center

Hurricane Irma Update

We are happy to report that all our staff members made it through tropical storm Irma unharmed. Unfortunately the property did suffer damages and we will be closed for recovery for several weeks. We are currently working out a timeline for recovery and reaching out to our guests to make alternate arrangements for them. Contractors and Burton staff members are working side by side to get the facility back into operation. We appreciate everyone's support and we will be back up and better than before as soon as possible.

Sea Turtle Release Has Been Postponed Due to Hurricane Irma

Due to Hurricane Irma, we have had to postpone the release date for Zoe.  Please watch for event updates on our Facebook Event page.

Please help Zoe's Journey. Rescued five years ago, she is now ready to return to the wild.  Donate today and help us reach our fund-raising goal of $5,000 for a satellite tracker.  Your support will allow us to follow her as she explores the ocean.  Click the Donate Now button to make your contribution. *Be sure to designate your donation to "Burton 4-H Center: Zoe's Underwater Adventure"
